A great move into the shadows This is the set up of the exhibition dedicated to INCONTRI using textiles and their links with the world of d�cor, style and design. Fabrics and objects come to life inside cupboards, old wardrobes and chests. Glancing into these large boxes we discover unexpected synergy between objects from different worlds. The idea of the move leaves the layout of the room empty, only occupied by �passing� temporary obstructions. This eliminates any interaction between the d�cor and the structure of the hall, while accentuating the intrinsic and essentially ephemeral quality of every presentation, and brings to mind, with irony, the bizarre destiny of fabric which has always been considered material for �covering� and more ephemeral than the furniture, even though it is the key to the image of any interior. |
